Guided training for women: level-based picks, structured plans, progress and BMI tracking, and an honest subscription flow.

Guided training for women: level-based picks, structured plans, progress and BMI tracking, and an honest subscription flow.

Female Fitness app screens: onboarding, plan and reports

(01) Overview

A coach that fits in a pocket.

Female Fitness is a guided workout app for women. It starts with a short onboarding, beginning with your current weight, builds a training plan, and lets people browse workouts by level: beginner, intermediate or advanced. Reports track history and BMI, a subscription unlocks the full library, and it connects to Apple Health.

[TODO] Product background: who the client was, target market, launch status, team and your exact scope.

(02) Problem

Motivation is fragile.

Workout apps are easy to download and easy to abandon. The design problem: make the first session feel achievable, make progress visible every day, and ask for a subscription without breaking trust.

[TODO] This is my reading of the problem from the final screens. Replace it with the brief’s real problem statement if it differs.

(03) Flow

Start small. Show the streak.

Onboarding asks one question per screen with large, thumb-friendly inputs like the weight ruler. Home greets you by name and leads with today’s plan and a progress bar. Discover sorts by level first, then ‘Picks for you’ and collections. The paywall lists what’s included, highlights a 7-day free trial and keeps ‘Restore purchase’ visible.

Set a baseline. Follow a plan. See it work.

  1. Set a baseline: One question per screen — like current weight on a ruler.

  2. Follow a plan: Home leads with today’s plan and how far you’ve come.

  3. Pick by level: Discover sorts workouts by Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

  4. Track progress: History calendar and BMI scale in Reports.

[TODO] Process stages listed on the old page (Research, User flows, Wireframes, Visual direction, High-fidelity UI, Prototype): keep only the ones you actually did, and add real artefacts such as flow diagrams or sketches.

(04) Interface

Calm violet, fresh mint.

  • Cards: Workout cards with photo, duration and level

  • Progress: Plan bars, calendar history, BMI scale

  • Actions: Full-width violet pill — Start

  • Navigation: Bottom tabs — Training / Discover / Report / Profile

[TODO] Colour tokens and typeface: the old page used values sampled from exports (Primary #5533D2, Accent #AAE6DC, Text #111114). Replace them with the real Figma tokens and add the type scale.

From first session to habit.

The design outcome: onboarding that takes seconds, a home screen that always answers “what’s next?”, workouts sorted by ability rather than hype, and a paywall that’s clear about the deal.

[TODO] Verified results only: launch status, store rating, client feedback, usage numbers. Never invent metrics.

[TODO] More exports: individual screens at full resolution, device mockups, and a short screen recording of the prototype.
